As I open the Bible, Hello to each of you! The Bible I read has been questioned and attacked by many people. The Bible is to be one of the sure foundations of life! II Timothy 3:16 reads, "All Scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine..." When people question the Bible, they question God! Who are we to question anything about God? Who told the sun to shine in South Florida this morning? Who told the ocean here on the East Coast of Florida you can only come this far? We did not! Only God decides the important basics of life!
Let's read II Peter 1:20-21, "knowing this first, that no prophecy of Scripture is of any private interpretaion, for prophecy never came by the will of man, but holy men of God spoke as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." Man did not write the Bible as many today say. God moved upon Peter, James and John, "as they were moved by the Holy Spirit." Why would many in the United Sates of America question such a sure foundation for all peoples? If the foundations of life are attacked who do we turn to? This writer is asking people to turn back to God anfd His Holy Word! How? Let's all seriously begin to read and study the Bible. One of the first Bible passages this writer learned was II Timothy 2:15, "Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth." The passage is saying we must give diligence to studying the Holy Bible. Do you read and study the Bible regularly? The Bible will not lead us astray: it will lead us to the truth of God!
